I got the psram ic in and installed on the core board with gp47 as enable. Still no go. I can see the menu and the keyboard will call up a few items but nothing runs! any app you pick either locks up the system or it reboots. I put in a question to the creator but no answer yet. Not looking very good at this point. |

It is a rp2350b so PSRAM is on gp47 as per the readme file. I no longer get the not enough memory error . Now it just freezes or reboots. I left message with author to see if he has any ideas. |

Both the modules I mentioned use the RP2350B, but they use different pins for PSRAM select. The type of processor is, unfortunately, not a guide. :) It can be one of GPIO0, GPIO8, GPIO19 or GPIO47. It's possible to add PSRAM to a RP2350A but it tends to be awkward and your choice of select pins is even more restricted as GP47 doesn't exist! I have the WeAct rp2350b core board that does have gp47. Sadly I have tried all 4 options for the PSRAM. I broke down and got my linux mint laptop out and tried to compile the project on that. When you go to clone the project to get all the files needed , a couple big ones have been deleted. Not fun. I think this one is about dead. I have not gotten a reply from the author of the code. Till I get e reply , it's in the junk box. |

If it's the almost square 48-pin module with a double row of pins down each side then it uses GP0 for the PSRAM. The PSRAM chip doesn't seem to be supplied though. You have to get your own and solder it to pads on thee bottom. I know this module works with PSRAM because I have one with it fitted. :) You need OPTION PSRAM PIN GP0 to enable it. I put the ic on myself. I lifted the cs pin and ran a jumper wire to try different points. The readme file says its on gp47 , but it may be another problem in software. 2 files are loaded from other github sites , one is the FreeRTOS needed in the library to compile. It no longer exists at the pointer in the github file. I think it was modded for the video driver by the author so it may be on his computer somewhere. But it is missing. sigh..... |

No , mmbasic is not running. Nothing runs so far. Just a pretty screen with a START button and some mouse movement. |

Oh, at least your hardware is running then. That's always a good place to start. :) It sounds like the fundamental engine is running, just that no applications are showing.
